Anoushka Shankar is a Brit-American sitar player and music artist. She was among the youngest and first woman to receive the British House of Commons Shield she has had 9 Grammy Awards nominations and was the first artist of Indian origin to perform live in concert and act as a host at the ceremony. Anoushka Shankar is an emerging star on the Indian sitar. She is the student and sister of Ravi Shankar. Born in London, she spent the first few years of her life bouncing between London and New Delhi. In New Delhi, she made her debut when she was only thirteen years old. In 1999, she completed her high school studies at Encinitas CA. Anouskha is still pursuing a successful music and acting career, even though she's young.
